2005 vintage was a fantastic year for Riesling. A long mild to warm growing season allowed the fruit for this “sticky” Riesling to develop flavour without losing condition.

The fruiting canes were cut, prompting the grapes to shrivel - concentrating and intensifying the flavours and aromas within.  The grapes were then harvested very ripe to ensure a luscious proportion of natural sugar remained post fermentation.

The wine is very reflective of the 2005 vintage conditions, showing luscious flavours of apricot and orange peel, still with hints of brown lime held together beautifully by a lean, tight mineral acid-structure.

Fantastic with soft blue cheese and pears.
