Tucked away within the Riesling vineyards surrounding Skillogalee House sits is a small parcel of Chardonnay that was planted more than 40 years ago.

These vines are sustainably grown and individually harvested when optimum flavour and ripeness is achieved before the grapes are pressed, and the juice is fermented in French oak to further integrate the fruit characters and acidity. During the wine’s maturation in barrel, the lees are stirred regularly to introduce textural creaminess and depth to the palate.

Only produced in small batches, and not every vintage, the Skillogalee Chardonnay is only available as a limited cellar door release.
