The Barrel House is the home of Skillogalee’s food and wine, bringing together warm hospitality, regional ingredients and handcrafted wines in a contemporary estate setting overlooking the vineyards.

Lunch is offered Thursday to Sunday from 12.00pm
Dinner is served on Saturday from 6.30pm

Information for Your Visit
We welcome walk-ins when space allows, although we recommend booking ahead to secure your table. If your preferred time is not available, please contact us and we will do our best to assist. Groups are hosted only with an advance booking.
Children are warmly welcomed. At lunch, guests aged 12 and under may choose from our dedicated children’s menu, while older children are invited to enjoy the standard menu. For dinner, all guests are welcome to enjoy the seasonal tasting menu.

About the Barrel House
The Barrel House is a contemporary space shaped by the character of Skillogalee. Built with sustainability in mind, its steel cladding and Blackbutt timber accents sit comfortably within the landscape, while solar power, water harvesting and native plantings reflect our long-term commitment to the environment.
Inside, high ceilings and generous windows open to views across the estate dam, the vineyards and the Skilly hills. It is a place designed for relaxed dining and wine experiences that remain closely connected to the surrounding landscape.
As we continue the careful restoration of our original 1850s cottage, the Barrel House serves as the heart of our hospitality. In time, it will become a dedicated venue for weddings and events while retaining its role in our barrel program, complementing the restored cottage and forming an integral part of the Skillogalee estate.
Accommodation Guests
We’re pleased to offer guests staying on the estate an exclusive dining option with our “Almost Ready” In-Room Dining Menu. Each meal is freshly prepared by our chefs and designed for you to finish effortlessly in the comfort of your private kitchen.

Private Events
Planning a special celebration? While our historic cottage restaurant undergoes restoration, the Barrel House is available for a limited number of private events. Whether it’s an intimate gathering, elegant wedding, or corporate function, we offer bespoke options to make your occasion truly memorable.
From late 2026, the Barrel House will transition into a dedicated event venue, providing a stunning setting for unforgettable celebrations.
