Our historic 1850s cottage, home to our restaurant and cellar door, is undergoing a careful restoration to ensure it remains an iconic part of our estate’s heritage for generations to come.
While this meticulous work is underway, the Barrel House will be our home for food and wine, offering the same warm Skillogalee hospitality, handcrafted wines, regional food, and stunning vineyard views in a fresh new setting.

Skillogalee’s cellar door is housed in an 1850s stone cottage built by the Trestrail family. Set among the gardens beside the restaurant, it looks across the estate vineyards.
Open daily, the cellar door offers guests the chance to taste Skillogalee’s range of handcrafted Clare Valley wines. From Riesling to Shiraz and other estate-grown varieties, our team provides a welcoming and personalised tasting experience.
Walk-in visitors are welcomed when space allows, though bookings are recommended to ensure availability, particularly for groups or special visits.

Join us for a wine tasting experience that celebrates the flavours and character of our handcrafted wines. In a relaxed and scenic setting, our friendly team will guide you through our range, sharing insights into the winemaking process, grape varietals, and the history of Skillogalee and the Clare Valley wine region. Located in the same historic cottage as our Cellar Door, our regional restaurant invites guests to enjoy lunch daily.
